Flower Field

Flower Field, Skinny laMinx, in Rosy.  Cotton linen blend.

South African designer Heather Moore, aka Skinny laMinx, screenprints some pretty smokin' patterns.  It's a little pricey (about $59/yard in her Etsy shop) but for fancy home dec fabric handmade, independent, and well-designed, par for the course I suppose!   This print is definitely crushworthy.

Melody Miller's famous Typewriters

Why the obsession with Japanese fabric?[gallery]

Ooh yes, that's why.  Despite the cost (about $22.00/yd on Etsy), you can order just a fat quarter, cut the typewriters out (you'll get about 7), and applique them.  A pretty reasonable value for something so darn cute.  A great design stands alone:

Zig-Zag Ikat

Lacefield Designs, Zig-Zag Ikat in Raspberry.  Danish linen (yum!) and cotton blend.

Zig-Zags are wildly popular right now, though they're often incorrectly referred to as chevrons (Chevrons don't continually repeat like a zig-zag.  One "zag" or two vertically would be a chevron--think military insignia.).
