I was asked to make a quilt for a new baby using Riley Blake's "Daisy Cottage" line. We mixed in with Riley Blake chevrons (zig zag!) also by request, and some pretties from my stash (my favorite - Alexander Henry's keys, which unfortunately you can't see as it's folded down the other side of the maple branch, and others whose names I have long forgotten).
It was so quick and fun to make!
The back, with a favorite gift my niece presented for my baby, a handmade mobile from Tanzania. The pink is 1930s Pink by Moda's Bella Solids. This is the first I've used and noticed absolutely no difference in quality from Kona solids. I may begin buying Bella solids because my LQS doesn't carry many Konas, I just hope I don't get utterly confused which is what when it's time to re-order!
so sweet! I just love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt - love those chevrons too!
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable! Great work. I LOVE the Alexander Henry keys. There's something really clean and refreshing about just regular ole patchwork. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! I love the fabrics that you pulled together.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeletePerhaps my favorite type of quilting is on the diagonal. :)
Wonderful quilt! The colour combo is very fresh!
ReplyDeleteI write the name of the solid on the selvage so that I can remember when the time comes to use it or order more.
This is so lovely! Great choice of fabrics together!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful quilt - I love the mix of fabrics you chose!
